Comment:
Hello, I'm writing this email because I am at my wits end with the loud music coming from cars traveling up and down Oneawa st in kailua! It's sooo loud you can hear them coming from several streets down! The bass is so powerful that my walls vibrate!  I know this is illegal already. Why are the police not giving out citations?  What can I do, who can I call? Can I complain to the mayors office? Please help!

Quieter O'ahu Response:
Please see the preceding note from another Kailua resident about the Boom Car noise in your area.  Calling or emailing HPD's community action line, notifying your council representative, and even contacting your legislator are all appropriate responses.  In addition, please see our website page here for other ideas:  https://www.quieteroahu.com/things-you-can-do.html
As we suggested for our submission, engaging your neighborhood board is also a good step forward.  Thank you for your note.  There are many residents voicing their concern over noise and we will do all that we can to keep this issue in the forefront.
