Having a problem with boom cars on Keolu Dr. I have call my Council member and he has submitted request to HPD. Plus I have called community policing line and left messages three times now. No response. Any suggestions? Thanks for your website.

Quieter O'ahu Response:
Aloha,
Thanks for the note.  Sounds like you're doing the right things.  Might I also suggest a note to your neighborhood board representative.  You can find your board member here:  http://www.honolulu.gov/cms-nco-menu/site-nco-featured/191-site-nco-cat/682-test.html
We've been noting a bit of a ground swell of late both from individuals and neighborhood boards to the effect that the numbers of residents fed-up with the noise is increasing.  Still, HPD appears to be continuing in their historic pattern of non-enforcement of noise laws.
We are encouraging neighborhood boards to take the lead in holding HPD accountable for enforcement and suggesting they do this by having HPD report monthly the numbers of citations issued for noise and noise related violations.  As the public becomes educated to how poor enforcement really is, we are hoping that the neighborhood boards will engage the city council, office of the mayor, and legislators to insist HPD enforce existing noise ordinances and statutes.
We will add you to our distro for noise and related info, but you may opt-out at any time.

Mahalo,
Quieter O'ahu
