Small Aircraft Noise in Waipio Gentry

Comment:

There has been a significant increase in small aircraft flying over and around my home in Waipio Gentry. These aircraft emit an irritating and bothersome noise and I no longer can enjoy sitting on my lanai. Small planes and helicopters are constantly around.

The increase in aircraft noise is directly related to the increase in commercial tour operators and flight schools starting up on Oahu. I am, therefore, trying to pass some legislation requiring the DOT to limit the number of aircraft, tour operators and flight schools that are permitted to operate out of Hawaii's airport facilities.

But I need some assistance navigating through the legislative process. I have been advised to get the help of a lobbyist who is familiar with the aviation industry, but I don't know anyone. I also don't have the funds to pay for such services. Can you help?

Quieter O'ahu Response:

Anyone who  might be able to assist our poster with information on agencies who may be combatting this type of noise locally please contact Joy at:  Waipiojoy@gmail.com.

Maybe you can submit a bill next year regarding restrictions on time and/or locations low aircraft noise can be allowed, if at all. Or perhaps Department of Transportation can aid with this?
